As we move into Winter the shifting to shorter days with less light and colder weather can have an effect on energy levels and the "flavor" of your thoughts. It's vitally important to get out and get moving as much as possible and do the things that bring you greater joy and comfort to help counter act from mental and emotional stress and tension.
The shorter days coupled with the gym unable to open means many people are missing out on the physical and mental benefits of movement such as the filtering out of stress hormones and boosting feel-good endorphins that clear the head while strengthening immunity and building resilience to lifes challenges. Luckily yoga and many other other health inducing practices can be done from the comfort of your own home.
Any time dedicated to the cultivation and connection to your inner goodness, well-being and a greater sense of happiness and contentment is time spent well.
The current situation has highlighted the importance of our physical, mental and emotional health as well as the need for greater care and support for the more vulnerable in our society. With this in mind, 100% of proceeds from all classes, sound baths and workshops for the month of November will be donated to two local charities: ADAPT: Domestic abuse services and Pieta.
All donations are made directly though iDonate and at the end of the month all proceeds will be split evenly between the two charities. How much and how often you donate is up to you and how much you an afford at this time, any amount is appreciated. Examples of how much the classes and workshops would normally cost in-person can be found here. If you aren't in the position of making a donation at this time, that is perfectly ok, join in to any class or workshop and perhaps pass on a non-monetary act of kindness.
There are weekly sun salutation classes, flow and yin yoga classes along with sound baths, hip and heart flows with singing bowls and rest & restore workshops.
